On this page I am compiling a list of “fear nots”, Bible verses dealing with fear or anxiety. I have read there is one for each day of the year within the Bible. I will place the most recent one on the top of the list in bold print.

  • For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba,Father.” (Romans 8:15)
  • So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?” (Hebrews 13:6)
  • Do not be afraid; you will not suffer shame. Do not fear disgrace; you will not be humiliated. (Isaiah 54:4)
  • I, even I, am he who comforts you. Who are you that you fear mortal men, the sons of men, who are but grass, that you forget the LORD your Maker… (Isaiah51:12, 13a)
  • Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul.(Matthew 10:28)
  • For I am the LORD, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you. (Proverbs 1:33)
  • For I am the LORD, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you. (Isaiah 41:13)
  • Fear not, Abraham; I am thy shield and thy exceeding great reward. (Gen.15:1)
  • Fear not; for God hath heard the voice of the lad where he is. (Gen.21:17)
  • Fear not; for I am with thee, and will bless thee. (Gen.26:24)
  • Fear not; your God and the God of your father hath given you treasure. (Gen.43:23)
  • Fear not to go down into Egypt. (Gen.46:3)
  • Fear ye not ; stand still and see the salvation of the Lord. (Exod.14:13)
  • Fear not ; for God is come to prove you that His fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not. (Exod. 20:20)
  • Fear not : I am the First and the Last : I am he that liveth and was dead, and behold ! I am alive for evermore, Amen ; and have the keys of hell and of death. (Rev. 1:17)
  • You will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day. ( Psalm 91:5)
  • Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7)
  • Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, Hee is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you. (Deuteronomy 31:6)
  • Do not fear what they fear; do not be frightened. (1 Peter 3:14)
  • Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. (Psalm 23:4)
  • You drew near in the day that I called on you: you said, “Fear not.” (Lamentations 3:57)
  • Fear not, for I am with you. Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. (Isaiah 41:10)
  • God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea. (Psalm 46:1-2)
