Here’s an easy family favorite!
Pumpkin Bread
3 cups flour (sifted)
2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
3 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 can of pumpkin (2 cups)
1.25 cups vegetable oil
Mix eggs and sugar. Add pumpkin and oil. Add the dry ingredients. Mix well. Bake at 350 in greased loaf pans (2 large or 5 small) for 1 hour. Do not over bake. Small pans will take about 50 minutes. 1 small loaf cut in 8 slices has 140 calories per slice.

The Frontiersman's Daughter
Head on over to Writing to Distraction to visit with Laura Frantz as we discuss her debut novel and publication experiences. You’ll be in for a real treat. Enter the giveaway for a copy of her book, The Frontiersman’s Daughter, a wonderful epic tale of a young woman on the Kentucky frontier.
Here’s a little taste of home from my kitchen. Including pics of a few special meals that were prepared by family members and served on my new dishes. My sister-in-law, Gloria, made the roast beef, mashed red bliss potatoes and whole green beans. And my son, Justin, cooked us a meal of chicken cor don bleau with rice pilaf and green beans. What a treat.

And here are some little vinettes from my kitchen!
