This move has been more spiritual than I thought it would be. Not that I think of moving in particular as something spiritual, but when you make decisions of this magnitude God certainly should be the driving force – not fear, not desperation, not discontentment, not covetousness, not without faith, not … without seeking his direction and blessing.
Now we are getting down to the wire and have “tested and approved” the will of God. The final step is his provision for the remaining finances. Yes, God help us in practical matters! It is down to the wire now with less than 24 hours to go before the big move. We are trusting Him to meet “all of our needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus”. Everything has been happening so fast and the path has continually been prepared before us. Yet, it is those little questions that nag me like “how much is my husband’s actual paycheck going to be this week?” and “is the guy who is purchasing my vehicle really going to show up today with the money?”
Rather than being tormented by worry, I am trying to give these thoughts to the Lord and entrust to Him the details of these final moments. So far he has said “press on” and now we will take a step of faith to our future home. This faith is reasonable, based on rational consideration, but in times like these we also trust the God who is beyond reason and has all the bases covered. He is our provider, our shelter, our dwelling place.
