My journey continues at Writing to Distraction. I hope you’ll follow me there.
I’m happy to share my special friend, Daphne’s, version of “Where I’m From”, the March Writing Prompt & Giveaway at Writing to Distraction:
Where I’m From by Daphne Tieman
I am from the lands of soufflés and flambés, fresh-caught fish and fiddleheads.
I am from the mountain laurel and the pine cone tassel.
I am from maple syrup-scented lumber camps and tripod teepees.
I am from builders and inventors, drunks and teetotalers, prophets and poets.
I am from joy-filled children of God and a blood-blessed Cross.
I am from stubborn women and charming men.
I am from “Too Ra Loo Ra Loo Ra” and
“Open Up Your Heart and Let the Sun Shine In.”
I am from tree houses and spontaneous sing-songs.
I am from unfinished heirloom quilts and Love that never ends.
I love unfolding mysteries and history. On my dappled things blog I ask the question “When Was Jesus Born?” Come and see, you may be surprised by the answer.
“And the Word became flesh, and did tabernacle among us, and we beheld his glory, glory as of an only begotten of a father, full of grace and truth.” ~ John 1:14
